A new player has arrived in the world of elite canine training for personal protection, military, law enforcement, and first responders: Anubis Canine. Today marks the company’s official launch and entry into the marketplace by Heckens & Wood Capital, LLC.
Anubis Canine has brought together a team of highly skilled canine procurement specialists and elite-level trainers to deliver a one-of-a-kind protection canine acquisition experience.
Unlike other protection and security dog training companies, clients do not select from a kennel of available dogs. Anubis’ procurement process follows a proven doctrine focused on ensuring clients receive the right dog for their lifestyle, thoughtfully acquired and trained to meet their unique needs and requirements.
“We know our clients have unique needs, and our team is dedicated to delivering not just a well-trained protection dog, but a true companion suited to their individual lifestyle,” said Anubis Canine COO Tony Barker. “Our process is designed to guarantee that every client receives a dog whose training, temperament, and skills align seamlessly with their daily life. We are setting a new standard in the protection dog industry, combining unmatched expertise with a commitment to service and ongoing support for both our clients and their dogs.”
A meticulous five-step process modeled after human performance improvement methodologies, Anubis delivers well-trained protection dogs that acclimate fully to their owner’s lifestyle, whether at home, at work, or at play.
Understanding – Anubis meets personally with every client to understand the full scope of motivations, expectations and needs for a protection dog. In-depth conversations with an Anubis sourcing specialist help determine the best breed for a client’s needs, as well as the necessary training and socialization requirements.
Sourcing/Selection – Anubis works with the best breeders of protection dogs across the globe. Armed with a comprehensive list of requirements, Anubis locates, selects and purchases the right breed, at the right age, with the right temperament to meet the client’s needs. Predominantly sourced from Europe, Anubis specialists inspect and transport the dog to the U.S. for a comprehensive medical check and ensure appropriate acclimatization to the new environment.
Training – Anubis instructors are some of the very best in the United States, with credentials that include curriculum development and training for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Department of State, Project K-9 Hero, and military special forces K-9 operations.
- Owners have full visibility into the two-to-eight-week training schedule and process.
- Photo and video updates are provided during the training period.
